Job Title: Counselor/Teachers – Aide

Job Description:
As a Seasonal Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and enriching summer experience for children aged 5 to 12 years. You will lead and assist in organizing a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including sports, arts and crafts, games, nature exploration, and more.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and ensuring the safety of campers at all times.
  • Engaging campers in age-appropriate activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and personal growth.
  • Providing guidance and support to campers as they navigate new challenges and develop social skills.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and respected.
  • Collaborating with fellow counselors and camp leadership to plan and implement daily schedules and special events.
  • Communicating effectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on their child’s progress and address any concerns.
    Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years old.
Experience working with children in a camp, school, daycare, or recreational setting preferred.
Enthusiasm for outdoor activities and willingness to participate in games, sports, and nature exploration.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to serve as a positive role model for campers.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification prior to the start of employment).


Schedule:
This is a seasonal position, running from June 17th to August 24th, with the possibility of extension based on performance and program needs. Camp hours are typically Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with occasional evening or weekend events.
